| I declared a flat south-north 300km triangle without much faith that the wave would be good enough. In the event it was a perfect day for a wave cross country with the clouds tops low enough to make it easy to cruise at 4000' to 5000'. I made good progress until I dropped down below 3500' north of Welshpool and lost confidence. I should have carried on because the day was still going and would very likely have completed my declared 300km. With an earlier start 500km might have been on. |
